Tencent Acquires Polish Gaming Group 1C Entertainment
1C Entertainment and its subsidiaries will have to be rebranded within six months after the deal is closed.

Tencent has acquired 1C Entertainment, the Polish studio behind Men Of War and King's Bounty. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company announced its plans to purchase 1C Entertainment last summer and reached the deal in November 2021 with Tencent agreeing to take all shares previously held by the studio's former parent company 1C.
According to the press release, 1С Entertainment along with its subsidiaries with 1C branding will have to be renamed within six months after the acquisition, although rebranding details haven't been revealed yet.
1С Entertainment currently has its offices in Gdansk, Prague, Budapest, and Moscow with its headquarters located in Warsaw. Among the 1C subsidiaries, there is Muve, Cenega, and the Polish studio QLOC which is known for co-developing Dark Souls: Remastered.

Recently, Tencent also acquired the Canadian-based studio Inflexion Games headed by the ex-BioWare boss from Improbable.
