Perhaps the most significant piece of trivia came in response to a question from user @ISHABOWA, who asked how much new Isaac content we can expect by 2035. According to McMillen, within the next decade, we'll see a long-awaited sequel to the beloved roguelike, along with an expansion for it. Since the game is largely McMillen's creation, this reveal can be considered official confirmation that The Binding of Isaac 2 will, sooner or later, become a reality.
Speaking of Isaac, the developer also disclosed that the roguelike went through two potential titles during development: "Love Sick" and later "MOM," before settling on its final name.
Additionally, McMillen paid his respects to fellow Indie Developer LocalThunk, describing his popular poker-themed roguelike deck-builder and GOTY 2024 contender Balatro as his favorite game of the year.
