The Calm Of Fishing Blends With The Dread Of Survival In This Upcoming First-Person Co-Op Horror

The demo version of GONE Fishing is available.

Fishing is an activity that is supposed to be relaxing and rewarding — just think about the excitement when you catch a big fish after a long time of patiently waiting. But when you're forced to fish to survive, things could be very different.

GONE Fishing has mixed the two extremely opposite feelings in one game: the calm of fishing with the creeping dread of survival horror. In this co-op horror title, along with your friends, you'll be busy collecting baits during the peaceful daytime, gathering worms, frogs, spiders, and bats, and trying to catch a variety of fish species, each with unique behaviors, fight patterns, and sizes.

When you get a bite, set the hook at the right moment with proper tension. If you pull too hard, the line will snap; if you pull too lightly, the fish will escape.

Unfortunately, your fishing isn't for leisure; a hungry lake monster awaits to swallow those fish before night arrives. If you fail to offer enough fish to the altar to satisfy it, prepare to be pulled into the big lake one by one to become its food. What's worse, the monster grows more aggressive with each failed offering, so it always needs more and more.

A mysterious trader, the Balloon Merchant, will arrive at midday, where you can trade for upgrades and totems with the fish. Consider carefully and strategically to strike a balance between surviving the night and gaining more power. Remember, every fish you catch will be recorded, and you can compete with anglers around the world to determine whose catch is the largest.

GONE Fishing is set to be released soon. ABCT Productions has launched a demo version of the game on Steam. If you're interested in this fishing horror experience, feel free to download and try it out.
