The Cat in the Hat: A Behind-The-Scenes Look

Renowned writer and director Alessandro Carloni will join VIEW Conference 2025 in Turin, Italy, where he’ll offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at his latest project - The Cat in the Hat, the upcoming animated feature from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.

Set to hit theaters on February 27, 2026, the film reimagines Dr. Seuss’s iconic character in a bold new light, with Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader voicing the mischievous feline. Co-written and co-directed by Erica Rivinoja, the film blends multiple animation styles in what is poised to be the first in a new series of Dr. Seuss adaptations from Warner Bros.

Carloni’s session at VIEW will give attendees an early glimpse into the creative process behind this whimsical adventure, promising insights into the animation techniques and storytelling innovations driving the film.

“We are so excited to present this peek at the making of The Cat in the Hat at VIEW Conference 2025,” said VIEW Conference Director Dr. Maria Elena Gutierrez. “Alessandro Carloni has an incredible track record, and his new movie promises to be something truly special.”

Carloni, whose work includes key creative roles on Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon, brings decades of experience to this new project. He is also currently developing an original TV series for Netflix.

VIEW Conference 2025 will take place from October 12–17, 2025, and features an international lineup of artists, directors, and technologists from the worlds of animation, VFX, games, and interactive media. Attendees can expect a full week of masterclasses, talks, and workshops covering everything from storytelling and virtual production to AI and real-time rendering.
