The Final Development Snapshot Of Godot Engine 4.5 Is Here

Native visionOS support, shader baker, Wasm SIMD, and more new features are coming.

Just over a year after the launch of Godot Engine 4.4, the release of Godot Engine 4.5 is fast approaching. The final development build has arrived, and the feature freeze is just around the corner.

Here are some of the key highlights:

  • Native visionOS support
  • Abstract classes in GDScript
  • Shader baker exporting
  • WebAssembly SIMD support
  • Inline color pickers

In total, 109 contributors have submitted 252 fixes. As the developers wrap up the final wave of new features, it's only natural that bugs will surface as well. This makes your bug reports and feedback more valuable than ever to help ensure a smooth beta period. 

As usual, if you encounter any issues while testing this release, please report them as bugs on GitHub. Before submitting, search for existing issues using relevant keywords to avoid duplicate reports.
