Disney and Marvel have announced a new showcase that will feature a number of game announcements from the likes of Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and more.
The first-ever Disney and Marvel Games Showcase will take place during the D23 Expo on September 9 at 1:00 p.m. PT/4:00 p.m. ET. The showcase has been confirmed to stream across YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook.
The event promises to feature "reveals, announcements, and trailers for new and upcoming games" from Disney & Pixar Games, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games. It will bring new updates on Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sag as well as offer a sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel ensemble game from Skydance New Media.
Disney has recently significantly expanded its game operations signing a number of licensing deals for its properties and has multiple major AAA games based on Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Marvel, and Avatar that are currently in development. The company currently has licensing deals with such companies as Take-Two, Bethesda, PlayStation, EA, Warner Bros, and Ubisoft.
