In a recent interview, Neil Druckmann, the Co-creator of The Last of Us' games and TV series, shared some more details on season 2 of HBO's show. According to Druckmann, the next season will feature cut scenes from The Last of Us 2's Lost Levels.

He confirmed that filming for the next episodes of the show has not yet started, and it remains uncertain how many deleted scenes will be included. Druckmann also asked players to keep an eye out for the upcoming re-release of The Last of Us Part II, particularly due to the inclusion of additional content and a new roguelike mode.

"As a tease, I will say there is at least one element from a cut level that is planned [for] the show. I say that with the caveat that we haven't started filming the show yet and all things are subject to change based on what we ultimately feel will be best for the show," Druckmann said.

Druckmann noted that the Lost Levels were not yet fully ready and in addition to that, he added that Naughty Dog planned to include comments in the remaster explaining why the levels were not included in the original version of the game. Also, Druckmann confirmed that the remaster would include an "extended party scene in Jackson", revealing more information about Ellie's life in the city.
