The Lies of P team plans to add numerous improvements to the Souls-like game ahead of its launch.
Fans who have played the released The Lies of P demo praised its robust combat features, however, its dodge move faced some criticism. Game Director Jiwon Choi announced that adjustments will be made to the dodge ability before the Souls-like official launch in September.
"We have taken note of the substantial feedback received regarding the dodging system," Choi says in a developer Q and A session. "We are currently undergoing a comprehensive evaluation of the various aspects of the dodging system, including the invincibility frames, distance mechanics, and more".
In addition to this, Choi spoke about the off-beat attack patterns and movements used by some of the enemies, which have been catching a lot of players off-guard with their unusual rhythms. Choi said the team is working on making these "more intuitive so that players can better predict them and respond to them accordingly."
Lies of P attracted a lot of attention on Steam, where the demo was downloaded more than a million times in only three days. To make the immersion even deeper, modders from Garden of Eyes added the Hunter from Bloodborne to the Lies of P demo, including the weapons and armor. The game is scheduled to launch on September 19 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, as well as Game Pass.
