The Number of Modern Warfare II Concurrent Players Excedeed 450k People

The game has hit a new record thanks to the release of the free-to-play battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

On November 16, the free-to-play battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 was released on all platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game is a part of 2022's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II but does not require the purchase of the aforementioned title.

Thanks to the release of Warzone 2.0, the number of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II concurrent players on Steam jumped sharply. On November 17, it reached a peak of 452,281 people playing the game at the same time, according to SteamDB charts.

At the time of writing, the game's 24-hour peak reaches 434,114 players, and 382,646 people are playing right now. Prior to the launch of Warzone 2.0, Modern Warfare II's concurrent player count didn't exceed 400,000 people and from November 12 to November 16, it didn't get higher than 200,000 players.

Modern Warfare II is now one of the most popular games in terms of concurrent player count. It takes the third spot in the list, just behind Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
