They also shared that the team has started collecting player feedback to work on a patch fixing these bugs.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, the pack including the remastered version of the original 2019 game and all its DLCs, was released on March 7.
Although players praised the game's improved graphics and lighting, the remaster still received numerous negative reviews for its multiple technical issues on both PC and console. For instance, on Steam, Spacer's Choice Edition has only 20% positive reviews.
On March 9, developer Obsidian Entertainment apologized to the players for the technical condition of the game.
"I am sorry that you all have been experiencing performance issues with The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition. I understand how frustrating this can be, and I assure you the team at Private Division is working on getting a patch out as soon as possible," an Obsidian representative wrote on The Outer Worlds subreddit.
The company's spokesperson added that the team will let players know about the patch as soon as they will have more information about the patch and urged players to share feedback describing any issues they face while playing the game on the Private Division website.
According to a studio representative, the development team is already working on the issues reported by players. However, it's uncertain when a patch containing the necessary fixes will be released.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is a paid version of the game that includes enhanced graphics and lighting. It was also supposed to have better performance on consoles, among other things. Existing owners of the original game and its two DLCs can purchase the remastered version for $10, whereas everyone else will have to pay $60 for the updated edition of The Outer Worlds.
