A recently posted job listing from game developer and publisher Neowiz Games has revealed that the studio's planned sequel for Lies of P, a 2023 soulslike based on the story of Pinocchio, will most likely be powered by Unreal Engine 5, garnering considerable online attention over the past couple of days.

First spotted by Resetera user Eroke and shared by Twitter user IdleSloth84, the listing states that the company is actively seeking a development planner for its upcoming project within the Lies of P universe, disclosing that the new project, presumably the anticipated sequel, is being developed with UE5, a departure from the original game, which utilized Unreal Engine 4. Additionally, the job opening revealed that Round 8 Studio, the team behind the original game, will continue to helm the next project.

Back in October 2023, the studio announced that Lies of P had sold over 1 million copies, expressing "sincere gratitude" to all users who tried out the soulslike and contributed to achieving this impressive milestone. Shortly after this announcement, the studio unveiled its plans to release a DLC for Lies of P and confirmed that work had commenced on a standalone sequel to the game.

As of now, the developer is keeping the details of their future endeavors closely guarded. Nevertheless, fans can expect to receive more information about the upcoming DLC and sequel for Lies of P in the coming months.
