The SideFX Labs Team Unveils Cable Generator 2.0

The Houdini Team has demonstrated their improved version of Cable Generator, which is included in the free and open-source toolset in Houdini called SideFX Labs. As evident from its name, the tool allows you to quickly set up connecting cables and subcables in Houdini. In order to do so, the tool uses input curve or input geometry. The team comments that the tool also includes options for simulating gravity, interacting with colliders, cable detangling, and auto UV generation.

SideFX Labs is a great toolset with over 230 tools designed to help you quickly accomplish your goals. The tools are developed outside the regular Houdini development cycle which makes them more accessible for testing and feedback. You can learn more about the toolset by clicking this link.
