Remedy Entertainment has neither confirmed nor denied the statement.
During a recent episode of the Monsters, Madness, and Magic podcast, Alan Wake' voice actor Matthew Porretta revealed that the highly-anticipated sequel to Remedy's 2010 psychological thriller Alan Wake might be shipped in October 2023. While the release year itself has already been revealed by the studio earlier, the approximate release window may have been narrowed down by Porretta, who stated that Alan Wake 2 is "supposed to come out in October."
"I've been working on it," commented the voice actor when asked about Alan Wake 2. "That's supposed to come out in October. We're in the middle of working on it now. In fact, I was just in Finland last week, that's where the company is from. Remedy, they're amazing people."
At the moment, Remedy Entertainment has neither confirmed nor denied Porretta's statement, leaving the validity of the revealed release window somewhat questionable, especially considering that the game might still be delayed over the course of the next few months.
Alan Wake 2 is expected to be Remedy's biggest and most ambitious project. The game is already playable from start to finish and will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
