There'll Be No News on the Future Game or TV Series During TLOU Day

Naughty Dog informed its fans that the Last of Us Day stream, dedicated to celebrating the series' tenth anniversary, would feature "art, merch, and more".

On September 26, Naughty Dog expresses an annual gesture of appreciation to its community by celebrating The Last of Us Day. Despite not releasing a game this year, 2023 remains important for Naughty Dog as it marks the tenth anniversary of The Last of Us: Outbreak Day, the studio's first game. So numerous fans were waiting for special announcements.

Well, Naughty Dog has made some announcements. The company has clearly stated that during this special event, there will be no discussions about any future game or TV show projects. The event starts tomorrow with a dedicated stream starting at 9 a.m. PT, primarily focusing on art, merchandise, and other aspects within the franchise's universe.

It seems that users weren't surprised by Naughty Dog’s statement recalling that the studio's last game was released more than three years ago.

We hope that the second season of The Last of Us series will be out someday soon since the creators have shared that the series is outlined and "ready to go" (but once the ongoing Hollywood strikes are over).
