Thierry Platon Opens New Game Development Studio Ukiyo

The studio says its goal is to "display its vocation for contemplative games with values."

Game developer Thierry Platon announced that he's opened Ukiyo Studio, a new game development studio located in France.

The studio is based in Montpellier and, according to Platon, it is already working on its first project which is set to be revealed in the near future.

The developer hasn't shared many details about Ukiyo, so it's unclear what kind of projects it will focus on. However, as per the studio's Facebook page, its goal is to "display its vocation for contemplative games with values."

Platon started his development career in 1989 when he created his first video game, Ranx, published by Ubisoft. He later served as a narrative director at Gloomywood and was a producer at Moonycat Entertainment. Additionally, for nearly two decades, he led the independent French game development studio BiP media.
