We’ve been following up on the development of The Spirit of the Samurai for a while now. It is an upcoming action-adventure 2D game with Soulslike and Metroidvania elements. In case you missed our previous articles, in an epic adventure with Metroidvania elements, players will take on the role of Takeshi, a Japanese samurai who has to protect his village, a tiny Kodama forest spirit, and a warrior cat named Chisai. Each character offers unique ways to interact with the world, from intense sword combat to precise platforming and exploration. You will experience a carefully crafted ancient Japan filled with mythology, folklore, and battles against undead monsters and demons.
