This AR Game Is a Fun & Entertaining Way to Learn Chemistry

Learn about element interactions and chemical reactions with real-life cards.

Game Developer Marshal Venner unveiled this video demonstrating the creation of their indie project, AR Chemistry Creatures, with which you can learn chemistry in a fun and entertaining way. The video features the project evolving from the early stages of development to full release.

Chemistry Creatures is a card-based AR game in which a player blends elements to create various real-life chemical compounds and solve missions. The developer describes the project as "Pokémon meets chemistry lab." The game's learning content was created in collaboration with educators and students.

The project will help learn the first twenty elements in the periodic table and their interactions and chemical reactions, as well as observe fizzing, color shifts, and explosions in a safe virtual environment. Also, the game teaches how the chemical elements are used in the real world, from cooking to energy production, offers missions that align with National Curriculum objectives, and more.
