Today on the free model site finds: 3D Artist known as Aubarino has shared a ridiculously detailed and heavy crowbar model, most likely a 3D scan. This might just explain why Half-Life 3 isn't out yet, the graphics are simply too advanced for current-gen PCs.
Aubarino created a much lower-poly version of the crowbar, baked the high-poly model's normal map onto the optimized version, made a texture, and dropped it into their VRChat world. It works just fine now.
