This Cute Game Where You Jump Between 2D & 3D Got a Release Date
“Off the page and into the adventure!”
Devolver Digital, publisher of The Plucky Squire, has announced a release date for this highly-anticipated adventure game. Along with the announcement comes a new cute and fun trailer, which almost disappointed eagerly-waited fans when its clever way of revealing the date set the release year to 2025 (wrongly):
If you missed our previous coverage, this adorable game, developed by All Possible Futures, makes you jump between charming 2D and 3D worlds, solve puzzles, and engage in mini-games. It tells the story of Humgrump, the bad guy of the story, who decided to kick the hero Jot out of the pages in the hope of saving himself from an unfortunate fate. Jot will need to fight off to save his friends from Humgrump's dark forces while restoring the story’s happy ending.

Some scenes in the game do remind me of happy times when playing It Takes Two. For some time, you have been a 2D fighter, with the battleground on book papers and all the surrounding elements interactive. You are also able to explore the vivid 3D world, full of toys, stationery, dangers, and surprises.
