This Dark Fantasy RPG Shows Humanity Fighting Monsters After Apocalypse
Lirai: Heir Of Darkness features an intense mood driven by the fear of extinction.
Take a look at Lirai: Heir Of Darkness, an upcoming third-person action RPG developed by Cryorbis Studio, an independent game developer. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth populated with zombies, monsters, and tough human survivors. The project features a playable demo on Steam, and the launch on PC is planned for June 2026.
In this intense atmosphere, everyone fights for dominance. The game features diverse environments and complex character relationships, unfolding against the backdrop of the collapsed world. As players progress through the storyline, they uncover the dark secrets of what led to the devastating consequences.

"The idea came from wanting to explore an apocalypse that wasn't purely scientific or purely supernatural. By blending demons and zombies, we could create a unique world that isn't just physical, but spiritual and psychological as well. That contrast gave us a lot of freedom to build an interesting story in a mysterious universe," the developers say.
Beneath its dark fantasy setting, the game presents a personal story that starts with the need to save someone important and gradually connects to humanity's broader struggle for survival. A player takes on the role of a Knight named Brian, who embarks on a mission to save whatever remains of mankind. The surviving humans unite to face the monstrous army to avoid extinction and ensure the future of humanity.

Focused on a dark fantasy and horror-inspired atmosphere, Lirai: Heir Of Darkness offers fast-paced combat that rewards timing, positioning, and adaptability, along with a detailed story, various playable transformations with different gameplay mechanics, strategies, and playstyles, environmental puzzles, hidden paths, and more.
"There's a moment where players begin to realise that the game is not what it first appears to be, and their understanding of the destroyed world starts to shift. That realisation is something I'm especially proud of because it sparks curiosity and encourages players to want to learn more. It's subtle, but very impactful."
