It's always fascinating to see 3D models from angles they weren't originally meant to be viewed from, you can really appreciate how artists and animators manipulate forms to convey specific expressions. Just like in drawing, it doesn't have to be perfectly accurate, what matters is that it communicates the right feeling and makes sense to the viewer.
Kio is right that the regular-handed Miku doesn't work for this pose, and showcased why simply adjusting the camera wouldn't achieve the same effect:
