I'm sure that we all fall for Christmas' ugly sweaters whether our granny bought them or we found them ourselves. If you've wondered what Microsoft has prepared for this year, you'd better be prepared for a strong feeling of nostalgia since this year's ugly sweater will return you back to the early 2000s in the time of XP.
Microsoft has chosen the legendary Bliss backdrop from Windows XP that shows a green hill and blue sky with white clouds in Sonoma County as the theme for their 2023 ugly Christmas sweater. The design includes the illustration and the mouse cursor, prominently displayed.

Made from 55% cotton and 45% acrylic, the sweater aims to bring nostalgia for the era of Minesweeper, Internet Explorer, and low-rise jeans. The care instructions humorously advise owners to "machine wash cold, tumble dry low, and never take off ".
Priced at $69.99, the sweater is available in limited quantities on the Xbox website. This marks Microsoft's sixth ugly Christmas sweater, with previous editions dedicated to their classic products. In 2018 and 2019, the sweaters paid tribute to Windows 95 and Windows XP, while starting from 2020, they have featured familiar Microsoft apps.
