This Mod Adds GTA's CJ As a Playable Mech to Armored Core 6

It took the modders less than a day to set up this outstanding monstrosity.

FromSoftware's highly-anticipated action mecha game Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon was launched less than a week ago, and the Internet is already hard at work modding the game and customizing its parameters. While most of the mods are somewhat useful, letting you, for example, skip the intro or use an alternative save, others were purely designed for entertainment, making Armored Core 6 less serious and more lighthearted.

A prime example comes from the renowned modder Dropoff, who recently collaborated with another creator known as TKGP. Together, they came up with Armored Carl, a mod that inserts Carl Johnson from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas into FromSoftware's mecha universe.

A demonstration video, embedded above, shows how this mod replaces the default mech pieces with CJ's body parts, turning the GTA series' most iconic protagonist into a pilotable robot that, other than its looks, is 100% similar to a regular one. Impressively, considering the timing of the video's release, the modders managed to add CJ to AC6 within a mere day after its official launch.

"Carl 'CJ' Johnson descends on Rubicon in his most handsome form yet," reads the mod's description. "Install with Mod Engine or UXM as usual, once working versions are publicly available. Replaces the starting set pieces (HC-2000, CC-2000, AC-2000, and 2C-2000). This abomination brought to you by Dropoff and TKGP. We're not sorry."

Notably, this is not the first time the modder has added CJ into other games. Previously, Dropoff also inserted SA's main character into Bloodborne, Watch Dogs, Demon's Souls, and The Witcher 2, just to name a few.

And back in 2021, the modder even managed to add Carl into the world of Elden Ring, a whole two months before the game's official release.
