Experience the games in different perspectives.
As we wait for the launch of the Silent Hill 2 remake, which is scheduled for Oct 8, it could be a good idea to revisit the old titles in this classic horror series. Recently, ZealotTormunds, aka Zealot Tomato on Twitter, released a mod called Camera Mod, which allows players to play Silent Hill 3 and 4 via a first-person perspective and an over-the-shoulder camera angle.
Below, you can see the newly unlocked angles with the mod via the two videos Zealot Tomato uploaded:
Many like this mod because it has provided new angles to the original game, and you can easily turn it on and off while in the game. However, there are also some concerns, mainly from players who prefer to stick to the original style. And here’s what Zealot Tomato has to say regarding such discussion:
The mod is completely free, and you can download it from GitHub, where the creator provides detailed instructions for installation and usage. Zealot Tomato has also shared that he is working on the camera mod for Silent Hill 2. If you don’t want to miss out on any future mods by Zealot Tomato, we encourage you to follow them on Twitter.
It’s worth mentioning that Zealot Tomato is also working on a survival horror game with nostalgic 3D graphics called Abstraction, and it is listed on Steam as “coming soon.” Don’t hesitate to visit its page if you are a fan of retro survival horror.
