
Believe it or not, what you see in the GIF above isn't an actual video recording but rather a 3D walkaround animation showcasing a 1984 Porsche 911 (930) created by Petter Steen, an experienced VFX Artist known for his expertise in automotive renders.
Taking digital photorealism to a whole new level, this animation was made using Blender, Unreal Engine, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, and Nuke, employing 22 UDIMs at 4K resolution. Additionally, the creator implemented a simple character animation to set up the reflection on the car's surface.
Apart from a few tiny details revealing its CG origin, the render is nearly indistinguishable from reality, so as proof, the creator also shared a viewport version of the animation to demonstrate its authenticity:
