This Pixelated Mystery Adventure Game Where You Solve Japanese Urban Legends Is Out

Urban Myth Dissolution Center is now available on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

Publisher SHUEISHA GAMES has announced that Urban Myth Dissolution Center, an adventure/visual novel game with retro-style pixelated graphics, has officially been launched.

If you missed our article about the game, it was created by the Japanese game studio Hakababunko, whose members are long-time aficionados of mystery-themed content. As Azami, a new member of the Urban Myth Dissolution Center, you'll need to conduct detective work by collecting circumstantial evidence and delving into social network posts to unveil the truth behind each urban legend. Explore the hidden pasts of the clients and understand the peculiar events that brought them face-to-face with these anomalies.

Delve into monstrous oddities, cursed relics, and dimensional anomalies. Your ultimate goal is to solve each mystery the game presents, combining exploration with an understanding of the characters and their backgrounds.

Although it suffered a slight delay from its original 2024 release window, Urban Myth Dissolution Center is now available on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. A demo version is available to download on the game's Steam page for those who'd like to give it a try before deciding if to add the game to their library. If you enjoy it, don’t miss out on the 10% offer that’s ending in two weeks.
