This Realistc Three.js Water Leaves Droplets On Screen

Anderson Mancini shared his progress in advancing the realism of water in Three.js.

Creative Developer Anderson Mancini presented his latest project, pushing the boundaries of realism in Three.js water, complete with underwater caustics and droplets, all rendered using React Three Fiber.

This water boasts enhanced realism through RGB-distorted caustics, creating light projections and improved movement to flow naturally, with optimizations for smoother performance. Anderson Mancini has also incorporated a post-processing effect that realistically simulates underwater distortion, complete with a dynamic waterline when the camera is partially submerged. Watch out for realistic water droplets on the screen as you dive in!

Stay tuned for the live link coming soon, and take a look at a Mojito glass rendered with this realistic water and dynamic caustics:

I see no value in words “creative developer” and “pushing the boundaries” buy republishing others work that was available online a decade ago
