Warning: spoilers ahead!

The second season of Arcane is finally here, letting us once again enjoy the breathtaking 3D animations brought to life by Fortiche Productions.

According to Fortiche, the entire scene was actually drawn by hand using charcoal in real life and then combined with 3D elements like character models, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind visual experience. "Huge applause to our incredible artists for bringing every detail to life! Illustration by Fortiche artists Julien Georgel, Kevin Le Moigne & Anne-Laure To," commented the team. If you haven't seen the episode yet and don't mind slightly ruining your enjoyment, here's the scene in question:

Speaking of Arcane, it was recently revealed that the series cost $250 million, covering both development and marketing, making it the most expensive animated TV series of all time. Despite the seemingly enormous figure, showrunners Christian Linke and Alex Yee stated that, compared to other animated movies, Arcane is actually "dirt cheap," and making the animated series really expensive "was the point."
