This Unity Dissolve Shader Lets You See Through Walls

"I am very tired of fighting with camera collision in small and tight spaces. So, let's see through walls!"

Solo Game Developer, known only as MetallCore999, has recently shared a new demo featuring a cool Unity-powered dissolve shader, adding a distinct visual effect and resolving the developer's issues with camera collision. According to MetallCore999, this shader was made with Amplify Shader Editor and is based on drawing a spot in screen space UV, the size of which depends on the distance of the camera to the object.

This works with split-screen mode independently. From this perspective, it seems the effect employs a height map to delay the disappearance of various mesh parts, combined with distortion to enhance the overall impact.
