This Upcoming Indie Pixel-Style Dungeon JRPG Received Updates

Check out the gameplay mechanics and visual effects of the upcoming project developed by Shingpapi.

Indie Developer Shingpapi shared a new gameplay prototype that seems to refer to their upcoming openGL-based pixel dungeon JRPG, which combines action and turn-based RPG elements.

In the clip, the developer shared a new "turn your head this way" functionality that helped fix the peeking mode to make it look better. The dev explained that technically, there's a calculation on whether a player is aiming towards a wall and then another calculation on whether that wall has a peekable side alley.

The pixel-style dungeon project is in development, and Shingpapi often shares the stages of the creation process, showcasing the game's character design, gameplay mechanics, and animation effects. The developer creates the game from scratch using C++ and OpenGL engine.
