This Version of Blender's Default Cube Resembles Analogue Horror
"Default Cube showed up at my house after I deleted it. Should I be worried?"
Digital Artists continue finding creative ways to reinvent Blender's most iconic mesh – the default cube – with 3D hobbyist known as ilgbviz recently complaining that after deleting the cube, it mysteriously appeared in their house, asking the community if they should be concerned about it.
Jokes aside, this particular version of the notorious Blender-made hexahedron looks mighty impressive, resembling something of a cross between a cube of water and an anomaly from S.T.A.L.K.E.R., combining rippling waves and reflections with pure eerieness.
Combined with a VHS filter added in After Effects, the final sequence feels like a scene pulled from an analog horror series – a vibe the Blender community clearly appreciated, as ilgbviz's Reddit post showcasing the piece racked up over seven thousand upvotes in just four days, encouraging the creator to also set up a sequel of sorts:

Earlier, we also saw Digital Artists shattering the default cube into tiny fragments, slicing it clean with a katana, aging it into an 80-year-old man's face, melting it in a pan, eating it, and transforming it into a quirky, funny-looking character.
