This VHS-Style Survival Horror Is Set in Diverse Cinematic Worlds
Dead Format, developed by Katanalevy, has been recently released on PC.
Take a look at Dead Format, a newly released VHS-style survival horror from a solo developer Katanalevy.
In the story, set in 1990s Scotland, you play as a sibling looking for your brother, lost in the cinematic world of VHS tapes. You travel across legendary film eras, tracing him there and uncovering the scary truth why the government wants to ban a mysterious tape, "Video Ghastlies."
Katanalevy
Reminiscent of retro horror movies, the game is inspired by Silent Era Cinema, Italian Giallo films, and 80s body horror.

In the game, you solve puzzles, arm yourself with weapons inspired by the film worlds, along with the world's own enemies and unique areas to explore, and return to your apartment, which has become your hub, where you review clues, catch your breath, and prepare to continue your journey.
