The update introduces a new Face Recovery model and performance improvements for NVIDIA GPUs.
In case you missed it
Previous version
Topaz Labs released Gigapixel AI 6.1 – an update for its software for upscaling images. This version uses the new Face Recovery model to better reconstruct facial details than the previous Face Refinement model. You can fine-tune the strength of the model with sliders.
Another change is the improved performance for NVIDIA GeForce 30, 20, and 10 Series GPUs. It's connected with Topaz Labs optimizing the library used from DirectML to TensorRT. The tests on GeForce RTX 3090 show that a 400% upscale of a 4,092 x 2,732px JPEG image was over twice as fast using TensorRT than using DirectML.
