Transformers: Reactivate, a 1-4 player online action game by Splash Damage, has been canceled.
In a statement on X/Twitter, Splash Damage announced that they had decided to cease the creation of the game: "Today, we have some very difficult news to share, the decision has been made to end development of Transformers: Reactivate."
According to the statement, the studio will be scaling down to refocus on other projects. The announce seems to hint at potential layoffs: "Unfortunately, despite every effort, a number of roles across the studio are now potentially at risk of redundancy."
In the post, Splash Damage also thanked Hasbro, which was "an incredible and supportive partner," and the team. The studio noted that the team and its contribution are one of the most valuable aspects of the project and said that they support their staff members: "While not being able to see the game through to release is painful, having to say goodbye to friends and colleagues hurts even more. We're now focused on doing everything we can to support them through this tough period, just as we are committed to caring for those who will stay with us as we build a stronger Splash Damage for the future."

The co-op was first revealed in 2022 at The Game Awards and had a warm welcome. It was a promising project immersing the players into the beloved Transformers universe. However, suggestions about its cancelation appeared several months ago, as some of the players noticed that Splash Damage had regrettably removed tweets and the announcement trailer of the game:
