A free demo for a surreal horror game from the director of Spec Ops: The Line is now available on Steam.
Publisher Blumhouse Games and studio EYES OUT, founded by Spec Ops: The Line game director Cory Davis, have released a demo of their surreal horror title Sleep Awake.
The demo lasts about 30 minutes and features a single gameplay segment from what appears to be the beginning of the story.

The story takes place in the last city on Earth, whose residents suffer from a mysterious phenomenon called HUSH, causing people to disappear during sleep. The few remaining inhabitants are doomed to eternal insomnia and reckless experiments on each other.

The main hero is Katja, a young woman who lost her family and is trying to survive among followers of twisted cults while desperately fighting the urge to sleep. The team describes their game as a mind-bending psychedelic adventure that explores the fragile boundary between dreams and death.

The full version is scheduled for release in 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Another cool thing is that the music is being composed by guitarist Robin Finck, known for working with Guns N’ Roses and Nine Inch Nails.
