Turn Any Photo Into Perfect Seamless Texture With This Tool
Seamlessifier by Puck handles images from any perspective.
Game Developer Puck recently caught the attention of artists and developers with Seamlessifier, a tool that lets you create seamless textures from photos taken at any angle and use them on your 3D models. Although texture-ripping tools aren't a new concept, Puck wanted to build a modern and fun alternative to apps like ShoeBox.
Seamlessifier lets you extract textures from photos using customizable polygon-based selection. You can preview the results in real-time and choose from several seamless texture generation methods, including Smoothed Collage and Scattered Edges.
The tool also includes options for blending seams, restoring details, adjusting contrast, and correcting lighting. Finished textures can be exported individually, as a selection, or packed into a texture atlas with automatic packing. On top of that, Seamlessifier supports pixel-art workflows and features built-in perspective correction.

However, like most texture-generation tools, the quality of the results depends heavily on the source image. Photos with strong perspective distortion may require manual tweaking, and larger textures and higher blur settings can increase processing times.
It's also worth noting that some of Seamlessifier's workflows are still experimental and may not work equally well with every texture type. Puck warns that texture atlas packing isn't fully automated yet, and generated textures may need a bit of cleanup before they're ready for projects.
For now, Seamlessifier is a Windows-only release. According to Puck, a macOS version is expected to launch sometime this week.
