Turns Out Baldur's Gate 3's Companions Were Horny Because Of A Bug

The Head of Larian confirmed there's a reason why your buddies think about the same thing too often.

The Head of Larian Studios, Swen Vincke, has admitted that there was a bug in the release version that caused the companions of the main character to become horny too often. Some players noticed that the game's romantic situations were happening too quickly so the question needed to be answered.

Vincke noted that the relationship system in the game was intended to resemble real-life relationships. He stated that if people in reality were as quick to initiate romantic situations as in the game, it would be strange.

"So... it was a bug," said Vincke. "The approval thresholds were too low when we shipped. That's why they were so horny in the beginning. It wasn't supposed to be that way. We've fixed it since, at least for some of them. We're still fixing a few of them."

Larian has already fixed the relationship system with certain characters (Gale, for example, who was supposed to be more modest). They still plan to add more changes though.
