Tutorial: Creating Arcane-Style Hair in Blender

Learn how to create Arcane-style hair with this in-depth tutorial by Lightning Boy Studio.

If you are a Character Artist and an Arcane fan, here's a new tutorial that you will definitely find interesting. David Forest from Lightning Boy Studio, a team of filmmakers who produced an award-winning short film Le Gouffre, has released an in-depth guide on creating Arcane-style hair in Blender 3.0/Eevee. The artist showed the creation process behind the stylized hairstyle similar to Jinx's, explained how you can use Blender's particle system for that task, showed the node graph, and more.

This tutorial is only the first part of a 2-part series dedicated to creating an Arcane-like character. In the second part, David promises to tell more about creating the character itself and plans to show how to push your renders to the next level using camera mapping. The second part hasn't been posted yet, so we highly recommend visiting Lightning Boy Studio's Twitter page not to miss the continuation once it is available.
