Eugene1sv explained how to import a Daz 3D Genesis 9 model into Unreal Engine with animation retargeting.
Unreal Engine Developer Eugene1sv has released a new video tutorial on how to import a Daz 3D Genesis 9 model as the main character in the Unreal Engine 5.4 third-person game template using David Vodhanel's bridge plug-in.
In this video, you'll learn how to retarget animations in real-time from UE5's Quinn Mannequin skeleton to the imported Daz 3D skeleton and how to add the imported Daz 3D skeletal mesh, such as Victoria in this example, though you can use any Genesis 9 model. The developer also teased that the next part will cover applying MetaHuman hair to the character and adding Daz 3D poses and animations to the cinematic project.
