Talks are underway with Netflix to bring this FPS survival franchise to the TV screen.
2024 is a fruitful year for GSC Game World's FPS survival franchise, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. . Not only was the second installment, Heart of Chornobyl, finally launched 14 years after it was first announced in 2010 and suffered from numerous cancellations and delays, but now the franchise is said to have a chance at a TV adaptation.
As reported by Forbes (thanks, Polygon), Maksym Krippa, who owns 82% of GSC Game World, revealed that the talks are "underway" regarding a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. TV adaptation. He expressed that he would "like us to get the series on Netflix." At this moment, not many details regarding the cooperation have been shared as the discussion is ongoing.

The long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been well received by the players since its launch a month ago and Krippa said the game had "already sold enough to make the project profitable." It was created based on the real Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, full of dangerous enemies, deadly anomalies, and powerful artifacts. Its huge, seamless open world consists of 20 regions, and we can examine it further through the developers' deep dive session and showcase.
Yesterday, Ironwood Studios’ driving survival game Pacific Drive, one of the Best Debut Indie Game nominees at this year’s TGA, was said to join the team of Fallout, Mass Effect, and Cyberpunk 2077, among many more titles, to receive a TV series adaptation by filmmaker James Wan, the creator of The Conjuring Universe.
