Alongside VCam integration, this major update brings enhancements to materials, animation workflow, and more.
Following the release of Twinmotion 2025.1 earlier this year, Twinmotion 2025.2 is now available, introducing support for Nanite, Unreal Engine's virtualized geometry technology.
Essentially, this enables you to work with very detailed meshes consisting of hundreds of millions or even billions of polygons, without slowing down your computer. You can change models to Nanite when you import them or later on, and you can even convert all models grouped under one object at once. You can also convert Megascans 3D assets, 3D plants, and Sketchfab assets to Nanite. If your current project feels slow or heavy, try using Nanite and see the difference for yourself.

Another new feature is support for virtual cameras, which opens up exciting possibilities. By linking Twinmotion with the Unreal VCam app on your Android or iOS device, you can move a virtual camera in the scene just by moving your phone or tablet.
For anyone who likes working on their source files in their DCC or CAD software while viewing the fully rendered results in Twinmotion (thanks to Datasmith Direct Link), the new feature that syncs the Twinmotion camera with the DCC viewport camera will be a big help.

Twinmotion 2025.2 also introduces a new Animator called Exploders, which lets you easily create animated exploded views for technical presentations and dramatic effects. The Translator and Rotator Animators have been improved with a new stagger offset feature, making it simpler to create animations where objects drop down from the sky.
The materials workflow has received numerous updates, including a new multi-drop tool button in the toolbar that allows you to quickly apply a material to the scene with each mouse click.

This release also brings improvements aimed at making Twinmotion more stylized, with a complete overhaul of the FX post-processing system. It now offers greater flexibility and enhanced visual quality, focusing on painterly and sketch-style effects like hatching, Kuwahara filtering, and pen-style outlines. All parameters are fully exposed, allowing for complete customization and the ability to save presets.

Twinmotion introduces linear and radial motion blur for static objects, custom LUTs, support for parallax windows with 27 different interiors in the library, 17 new fog cards, the ability to batch export all states, and many other features designed to make your work in architecture, automotive, media and entertainment, consumer products, and beyond more enjoyable and efficient.
