Sony revealed during an investor relations presentation that their newly formed team is working on a TV show based on the Twisted Metal series, reports IGN. The company also states that the Uncharted movie is in “advanced development.”

Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra announced that their PlayStation Productions studio has set up the deal for a Twisted Metal show, though little is known about the upcoming project. “We have a TV show we just agreed to get underway that will be developed from the IP on PlayStation, it’s called Twisted Metal,” Vinciquerra said. “It’s a game that was put out many years ago and we’re going to develop a TV series around that.”

The first game of the series was launched in 1995, with the latest chapter released in 2012. We’ve been waiting for a Twisted Metal movie but it has never been released.

What is more, we know that 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg is responsible for the Uncharted movie and Spidey from the latest Avengers chapter appears to be Nathan Drake.
