The third season's title and possible release date have also come to light.
Over the weekend, the Marvel Rivals community was treated to a long-awaited update on the game's upcoming third season – an update that came not from NetEase, however, but rather from the streaming platform Twitch, which accidentally revealed Season 3's title, new heroes, and even a possible release date.

As disclosed in Twitch's official Summer Drops announcement, Marvel Rivals Season 3 will introduce Blade and Phoenix (Jean Grey), whose arrival was first teased by insiders X0XLEAK and Visceral as far back as December 2024.
The announcement also confirmed that the easter egg of Blade sleeping on the Wakanda map and then waking up was indeed a hint at the antihero's upcoming debut. Following the reveal, X0XLEAK referenced earlier datamined details, stating that unless NetEase has made changes, both Phoenix and Blade will belong to the Duelist class.
Moreover, the Summer Drops announcement has also let drop Marvel Rivals Season 3's title, The Abyss Awaken, and hinted at its possible release date, with Season 3's Twitch drops set for July 11, suggesting we have less than a fortnight to wait until the new season arrives.
Please note that once the announcement caught the community's attention and Twitch realized it had confirmed more than it should have, all details about Marvel Rivals were removed from it – so, as always, thank the Wayback Machine for existing. At the moment, NetEase itself has not acknowledged Twitch butterfingering the details about Season 3, so even though this is as close to an official confirmation as it gets, some information may still be subject to change.
