Unexpected Render Setting Adds Unique Effect to Clay Statue Animation

3D Artist accidentally rendered only every 10th frame, which resulted in a captivating effect.

Check out this fascinating animation showing an antique-looking statue emerging from a mass of clay. Being visually appealing, the timelapse seems abrupt and schematic, creating a distinct unusual effect.

3D Artist known on Reddit as Environmental_Gap_65 shared that they rendered every 10th frame instead of using the standard frame rate. This rendering approach resulted in a choppy, stylized motion that, while unintentional, adds a unique and vintage-like charm to the final piece.

The artist shared the Geometry nodes setup used to create the animation. It distributes points on the mesh surface and animates them back and forth using noise and sine. The creator also added some irregularities to give the setup a snappier look.
