Unity 5 named Best Engine at Develop Industry Excellence Award

Unity Technologies celebrated another big achievement today when Unity 5 was named the Best Engine at the 2015 Develop Industry Excellence Awards. The event took place at Brighton, United (Kingdom Games) with development stars from around the UK and Europe attending.

We’re incredibly proud to bring home the award for Best Engine at the 2015 Develop Industry Excellence Awards. This honor is a testament to Unity’s continued commitment to democratize game development, solve hard problems and help developers succeed.

The Best Engine category was full of worthy competitors this year. Unity was up against ChilliSource, Construct 2, CryEngine, GameGuru, GameMaker, PlayCanvas and Unreal Engine 4. 4.5 million of Unity users can’t be wrong.
