Unreal Engine 5-Powered MMORPG ArcheAge 2 Is Coming to PC & Consoles

The developers have improved popular mechanics from the first game, like trading and housing.

Developer XLGames and publisher Kakao Games revealed a teaser trailer of the upcoming seamless open-world action MMORPG ArcheAge II. The game is expected to launch in 2024 on PC and consoles.

Executive Producer Jake Song didn't specify which consoles will get it but he shared some details about what we will see inside.

The ArcheAge sequel is powered by Unreal Engine 5, so expect to enjoy "AAA-tier visuals" in the non-linear progression-based open-world experience. The game has the same lore as its predecessor but a different storyline progression. ArcheAge II will focus more on personal adventures and stories.

"The storyline will involve discovering and solving mysteries of an ancient civilization that have been forgotten for thousands of years, leaving it to blend with the natural environment."

The developers capitalize on what already works in the first game and intend to improve the trading system so that the players can do trade runs alone, in teams, or in raids.

The housing feature will also see more customizations, allowing players to live in towns with their friends and even create their own towns with their guild members.
