Unseen Prince of Persia Pitch Surfaces

Check out a YouTube video featuring footage from unreleased Prince of Persia Redemption.

A ResetEra user shared the video on Wednesday, and it turns out that the eight-year-old clip originally had less than 150 views, so the leak remained unnoticed for so many years. A former Ubisoft and Naughty Dog animator Jonathan Cooper states that the video was a "target game footage".

The footage is a “pre-rendered game pitch,” Cooper noted on Twitter. Prince of Persia Redemption’s footage looked like actual gameplay and it inspired the Assassin’s Creed 3’s pitch, Cooper noted.

Prince of Persia was originally developed by Jordan Mechner in 1989. Then, the series was rebooted by Ubisoft in 2003 when they released Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. They also developed Warrior Within, The Two Thrones, and The Forgotten Sands.
