Call of Duty received a massive update on April 12, but it resulted in some PC players being unable to enjoy their favorite game, sadly. Owners of AMD Vega GPUs are complaining about instant crashes and other problems when they launch Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.
On April 17, Beenox, Activision Blizzard's studio responsible for Call of Duty PC support, replied to the uproar, saying it is investigating the issue and will fix it soon. Meanwhile, fans are getting antsy and starting to look for other ways to reach the company.
There is now a petition demanding Activision or Infinity Ward resolve the issues immediately:
"Many players have raised support tickets directly to Activision to no avail. There are countless threads on Reddit, Twitter posts as well as numerous threads on the Steam Discussion Board with over a thousand posts and counting."
Some were desperate enough to send pizza to Beenox's office with a "Help Vega Please" message on the box. It probably didn't reach those it was sent for, but the effort is admirable.
With all the buzz around the issue, Infinity Ward finally added it to its Trello board, so Vega owners might be able to play soon enough.
