Using Unreal Engine 5 as a Look Development Tool

Lennard Claussen shared a detailed overview of his LookDev scene setup and workflow in Unreal Engine 5.

Digital Artist Lennard Claussen, a renowned Weapon Designer and 3D Prop Artist behind weapons from Love, Death + Robots' Snow in the Desert episode, has recently published a new ArtStation post, sharing a detailed overview of his look development scene setup and workflow in Unreal Engine 5.

In the overview, the creator unveiled the LookDev template within UE5 that he uses for his projects, spoke about asset preparation, shared the lighting setup and post-processing settings, and discussed the camera setup. According to the artist, the template enabled him to have flexibility when performing look development in real-time without having to worry about scene color management and textures.
