Artist Mohamed Alsadany has launched UV-Pro, a new plug-in for ZBrush designed to greatly simplify UV unwrapping workflows in the software by eliminating the need to switch between different applications or different ZBrush menus.
Available for ZBrush 2023.1.1 or higher, the plug-in organizes all the essential tools in one place, providing a smooth and efficient workflow, and includes a dedicated section for editing and repairing UV maps.
UV-Pro features:
- Two Unwrapping Methods: It offers two fundamental approaches for UV unwrapping. Edge-Based Seams, for defining seams along the edges, and Color-Based Seams, which converts closed paint lines into UV islands.
- Quality Check Maps: The plugin includes a set of essential maps to verify the UV unwrapping results and ensure optimal texture distribution.
- Automatic Unwrapping for Hard-Surface Objects: It provides automated UV unwrapping for complex geometric shapes, streamlining the process and saving time.
- Projection(Simple Shape): For straightforward shapes, the plugin can perform projection UV mapping efficiently.
- Optimize UV Map, Map Editing and Refinement: It offers comprehensive tools to edit and refine UV maps, allowing users to achieve precise and high-quality UV unwrapping results.
